00:25 Instead of marrying the rich man, we are the rich man. Get comfortable, get ready, and let's dive in. Welcome back to the Richmond Podcast.
00:35 Today's episode is solo dolo. It's been a hot second. So I've done a solo episode and I'm very excited to have this conversation today because a lot of people, when I announced that we were retiring at two programs that were fantastic, the Power Play Prompts membership and the Six Figure Sales System program, a lot of people were like, wait a minute.
00:58 Why? Why are you doing this? Nothing's wrong with them. They're fantastic. They generate a lot of income. They are, they, they have results.
01:08 Like it. What, what was the decision behind that? And I love to be transparent and I love to give you guys the insiders scoop as to why I make certain decisions in my business and the importance of them, because they directly correlate to, to what I teach, when I stand for, when it comes to my business and, and what I desire to teach and speak on.
01:28 So first, nothing was better or wrong with either a program. If you were familiar with my Online Marketing Academy days, it was a signature program that I had back in 2019, 2020.
01:39 And this program was big. It was a 12 week group program. It was fantastic. The results were insane. This program, I would say, put me on the map when it came to just my level of expertise and just proof and just, it was a fantastic program.
01:54 However, it got to a point where I no longer was excited to teach it or lead it. And as I was evolving as a coach and a mentor, I desired to hold different conversations.
02:04 I desired to lead my business with far more space. It just, I was hitting capacity. If you are in my offer accelerator program, we had this conversation in depth.
02:14 But every year, every quarter, every month, I will look at either myself or with my team will look at where we're actually hitting capacity and not in the sense of like, what is not making any money.
02:26 We look at things that are making money, but where I find extremely resistance when it comes to what I am selling, what I am holding, and what my business now holds as its own values and as we do the reflection, something that had come up for me personally was when we were looking at the team and how we were managing our time when it came to power play prompts.
02:48 That program, although fantastic and incredibly innovative, like I love, if you are in that program, you have lifetime access to it.
02:55 It is, it's so good. Like it was, it's, it was a labor of love. It really was so much work to put it together.
03:01 And the format of it was you can cancel at any time and cancel at any month. So every single month it dropped weekly prompts for you to utilize for your Instagram stories.
03:11 And each of the prompts was rooted in some kind of sales psychology dynamic, which I taught you. I gave the know-how, like it was fantastic.
03:19 And then part of the, when we were doing reflection on business and just how we were spending our time, a lot of our time was being spent with failed payments when it came to the monthly membership.
03:31 Although it was only $44, $77 depending on how you bought it, it was just a lot of time going back and forth with people to update credit cards and billing.
03:40 And it just, that was a lot. It also was a lot that, you know, you can cancel at any time, no big deal.
03:47 But it was that, that was all a manual process. And when we looked at how the team was spending our time, I was just like, ah, I don't know if I like, it no longer feels aligned, I guess is what I wanna say.
03:58 That we have an offer where you could just kind of pop in and pop off and you can utilize or don't utilize.
04:05 And, and one thing that we're really stepping into when it comes to what we're actually creating and the person we wanna work with is someone who is really dedicated to personal growth and personal expression.
04:16 And I didn't feel good about having a container that it was so easy for you just to bail out on.
04:24 And not that it's like, again, better or wrong, it was intended for that purpose of like, you can use as much or as little as you wanted of it.
04:30 And I just didn't feel aligned with who I was desiring to work with in the season of life. And the amount of time we were spending just in the maintenance piece of it, I was like, Ugh, team has capacity.
04:42 Like there was, we didn't wanna talk about, it was sold behind the scenes anyway, and it made money behind the scenes, multiple six figures behind the scenes.
04:49 But we just weren't excited. And one thing that I really stand for is, I don't wanna sell things just to sell things just to make money.
04:57 It's just not how I, how I move. The programs and offers that I have in my business are near and dear to my heart.
05:05 And if they can't evolve into a new version of how I lead, how I teach the, the topics desire to speak on, I'm not gonna sell it.
05:15 So we decided to retire Power Play prompts for, for those reasons. Again, it's a fantastic program. Nothing was bad or wrong with it by any means, but we just kind of outgrew it.
05:25 We outgrew the format. Could we have salvaged it and changed it? Yes, in terms of format and commitment, but truthfully, it just didn't feel aligned with, with my current ideal client, if I'm being, if I'm being frank.
05:40 So that is why Power Play Prompts is no longer in existence, which again, nothing better wrong, it just is our second program that we are retiring.
05:52 So the six figure sale system, this program, again, fantastic. The amount of testimonials we have for that is insane. The video testimonials, like, we just have so much, so much g great feedback when it comes to that program.
06:07 It's a, it's a beginner sales program where we talk more about your pricing, your positioning profit, what that looks like, how to actually calculate your profit.
06:17 I really wanted you to feel comfortable when it came to understanding sales, psychology and buyer behavior, understanding your price points, feeling comfortable around profit margins.
06:27 I wanted you to have that knowhow, like fundamental knowhow when it came to sales items that I really mastered to hit my first six figures, sales calls, strip scripts, things like that.
06:38 And for a long time, and again, the program sells. It's fantastic. Again, the feedback is great. However, I no longer teach sales calls.
06:48 I no longer enjoy sending someone scripts. I no longer, I don't feel good about that information being a part of my brand.
06:59 And again, nothing wrong or bad with the information that was said in there, obviously, it's just, I cringe thinking about having to hold that conversation in real life.
07:08 Like if you were to come up to me and be like, can we talk about the six grader sales system?
07:11 I'd be like, absolutely not. Like I can't, that level of sales conversation is just, I'm so far removed from that conversation that I wanna have a different conversation when it comes to sales, which is why we have the new air of selling.
07:23 And so there was this battle that I had internally of like, do I just keep it because people can use it, it's still beneficial.
07:30 Like it's still, I'm using air quotes, it's still works. And I just couldn't get myself to keep it on the roster.
07:38 I could not allow myself to continue selling something that I knew in my heart and soul. I no longer wanted to be a part of the conversation of that.
07:49 And so we have retired those two programs for those reasons. And I wanna speak to this because I think it's really important for a lot of people to note is we have this fear of letting go of what works.
08:02 We have a fear of giving up the good to go for the great. And I knew, again, if you're in the offer accelerator, I will have a link to that program if you're interested in that program.
08:11 We talk a lot about capacity and just the mental capacity that I was constantly allowing myself to partake in when it came to just thinking about those programs being existence.
08:21 I knew I was blocking myself. I knew I was c**k blocking myself from my next level of success because I was, I was thinking about those programs still being in there and I didn't feel good about me preaching leadership and cleaning up, you know, your business model and ascension and all these things.
08:39 If I was still doing what I would recommend a client not do. And so same way when it came to Online Marketing Academy, om a at the time, I, the program did great and it was fantastic.
08:51 And now I'm in a place where I'm like, it just wasn't serving me anymore. And I think there's a lot of fear around, okay, but if I let this go, what if, what if, what if, what if, what if?
09:02 And for most people it's what if whatever I do next is not successful? Or what if there are people out there who need what this program has to offer?
09:11 And it's just like, there comes a time where I wanna retire my program so someone else can create programs to fit that space.
09:20 And someone who is directly connection connected to that energy and that transformation. And they wanna, I, I like wanna be like, okay, who's next to teach this step up?
09:30 Because it's no longer me. It's no longer what I wanna teach on. And we have this fear, typically it's financially right?
09:38 And one thing that I've always been really great about is yes, sure, there's a fear of like, is this the right move?
09:45 Naturally comes up whenever we make a big decision. Here's a co-pilot. But I trust myself. I trust I know what I'm building, I know what I'm working toward and I trust it.
09:55 I trust it. So like me letting go of these programs that are multiple six figures per year generated income that I don't even have to sell, they just sell on their own.
10:05 I still feel liberated. Like I'm still like, it's not even about the money, it's about what I stand for and the values I hold in my business.
10:12 And that means more to me than just doing something for a profit. And I also don't feel good that people are buying it.
10:20 And I'm like, only if they knew the new conversations I desire to hold. Like it's just not it. That's not it for me.
10:26 So that is why we let those two programs go. We retired those beautiful programs. And again, nothing better wrong, it's just it didn't fit the script anymore, which is a AO k no big deal.
10:38 But I would take this as a moment for yourself to ask yourself, is what you're currently doing one, even if it's working, do you like it?
10:46 Does it match your values? Does it feel congruent to where you're going? And if it can't adapt to where you are going, do you wanna let it go?
10:55 Something to ponder. I use the example again in the offer accelerator and we were all laughing, but it's like cleaning out your closet.
11:04 Like how many times do you like hold up a pair of jeans and you're like, I might one day wear these again.
11:08 And it's like, no, you f*****g won't, like donate them. Like no, you have 14 other pairs. Like let that shirt go.
11:16 Let the pair of pants go get rid of it. Like there's no need to hold onto it just in case someone wants it, just in case you might wear it Again.
11:26 It's just an excuse, right? Just an excuse to add more s**t, more clutter to your world. And for me, I thrive when my environment is squeaky cleaned.
11:38 When everything has a place and a meaning and intention, I do better. So I knew that just having those things hang around just cause, just cause they make money, just cuz they work.
11:52 I'm just holding onto a pair of jeans and I'm like, I could just f*****g donate these, like someone else can wear them.
11:57 You know what I mean? Another coach can teach this. And it feels so good to start the year with that kind of mentality and that kind of conviction.
12:07 And I'm excited to see what else comes through when I'm not relying on what is working but doesn't feel congruent or aligned with my desires.
12:16 Because now I have the space and the fire to be like, Ooh, what can replace this? If anything, what other conversations can we hold, if anything?
12:27 And that to me feels far more aligned than just doing things to do them. So for those wondering, that is why we retired our two multi six figure generating programs that just did their thing and now we are going to create new fun items that just feel far more aligned for us.
12:49 And again, nothing's better wrong, but something to ponder on as you are moving your business, shifting your business, reflecting on your business, is everything that you're doing still feel aligned for you?
12:59 And if it's not, should it go away?
