How to Add Spaces in Your Instagram Caption

Although 99.9% of Instagram users would be in favor of line breaks and paragraph spacing, Instagram has yet to release the functionality. In the meantime, here are two ways you can add spaces in your Instagram caption.

1. Use a Symbol

The quickest and easiest way to break up your Instagram caption is to use a symbol. You can use a stop, a dash, an emoji, or whatever character you would like. I personally use “.” “/” “//” or “-“When writing out your caption, simply press “return,” add your symbol, press “return” again and continue typing.

2. Invisible Line Break

Adding an invisible line break not only looks amazing, but is rather simple to do.

Open your notes app and begin typing your caption. When you reach a point where you want to add a space, simply press “return,” copy the space between the brackets 

[⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀]

paste where the space shall be, press “return” and continue typing. Add more than one to create bigger spaces. Please note that if you add extra spaces after the last word of the text and then add an invisible space, the break will not work. 

Make sure you simply press “return”, paste the invisible break, press “return” and continue typing.
